Diana de castro, CFA founder
Diana de Castro is an executive, board member and advisor in the impact investment and social enterprise management industries.
She brings broad experience in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors including social finance, consulting, nonprofit management and banking in Latin America.
Diana served as the Chief Alliance Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Pro Mujer, a leading women’s development organization that delivers transformative services to +2 million women in Latin America with +3 billion in loans and +9 million health interventions. Prior to Pro Mujer, she served as Principal of FIRST, a Brazilian impact investment fund. Additionally, she spent several years as an international private banker at Royal Bank of Canada and Barclays Bank.
Diana serves as Loan Committee Advisor for MCE Social Capital and as Investment Committee Member of Acceso Impact Fund. She is currently a Board Member of Alterna, and has previously held governance roles with the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, Central America and Mexico Steering Committee; Ilu Women’s Empowerment Fund, Gender Smart Subcommittee; and the Boards of Pro Mujer Nicaragua and Pro Mujer Bolivia.
She graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government and later earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Diana attended Harvard University’s Financial Institutions for Private Enterprise Development, an executive education program for financial inclusion at the JFK School of Government.
